Post Tramatic Slave SyndromeWhat's the Secret?

 Post Tramatic Slave Syndrome

My main Soul Therapy page discusses at great length the scientific fact that every person on the planet has many, many stories stored in their DNA. In view of the startling archaeological and genetic evidence revealed by experts such as Runoko Rashidi http://www.cwo.com/~lucumi/runoko.html and Dr.Spencer Wells and others, the conclusion has been made. We all come from one African mother "Eve". Beginning with this common ancestor down through the millennia we have come to share in the totality of human experience. Within our cells we house vivid imprints of joy, pain, cruelty, compassion, and all the experiences and resulting perceptions that go along with it. Inside of us we have the potential to be all things. These potentialities lie dormant beneath the surface, only revealed when triggered into action, usually by some highly emotional trauma caused by loss, separation, prolonged oppression, or even physical pain.

Here I will focus my topic on the experience of the African slave trade in America. As an African American woman this issue is close to my heart; for obvious reasons. I am the 7th generation born free on my maternal grand mother's side. I have experienced first hand the lasting effects of this institution. Certainly the imprint of slavery is not unique to African Americans, all races have had this indignity etched into their genes at some point in history. How ever the African slave trade is the most recent, and the longest in duration. It was operated between the 14th and the 19th centuries. This slavery period was the most massive in numbers and the most brutal, with 9 million loosing there lives on the slave ships during the "Middle Passage" to these shores.

I've observed a certain paradigm among African Americans that has always caused me to wonder. The so called "Crabs in a Barrel" defense mechanism, where we have a tendency to pull one another down rather than lend support, which perpetuates a lack of trust for one another. This lack of trust stops us from uniting as a cohesive group. After all of the discrimination African Americans of all skin shades have experienced why do many African Americans still harbor resentment and assumptions about skin color and hair texture? Just last February I was faced with this issue. I was in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall during the African Market Place. I stopped to look through a large display of slavery memorabilia. A long plantation inventory list caught my eye, so I stopped to read it; " Three mules $95.00 each, One Nigger Wench 23yrs.$800.00". Blown away, I turned to a woman standing next to me who was looking through a stack of prints and shared what I had just read. Shaking my head half way laughing, in dis-belief I said "Wow you and I would have only been worth $800.00 dollars in 1720". Her response was almost as unbelievable as what I had just read, As she stepped back looked me up and down, put her hands on her hips, rolled her neck, and narrowed her eyes, she said "Honey you would have been in the house and I would have been working in the fields! You would have passed the paper bag test" If you haven't realized it, slavery is alive today both in many of our minds and in the outer world. Look around and ask why are those modern day plantations cleverly disguised as prisons filled disproportionately with African Americans? An incredible disparity, African Americans are 45% of the prison population while making up only 13% of the general population. Today we can look at the entertainment industry particularly in the rap world, and observe the glorification of the pimp/gangster mentality. This pimpin' culture is unbelievably degrading to black women, portraying them as hoes and booty shakers to be used for sex and then discarded. Amazingly many young black women play into the role of "Hoe" seeing it as a place of empowerment. Low self esteem leads these women to happily answer to the title "Bitch" seeing it as a term of endearment. Then on the other end we have the super independent "strong black woman" in whom has been bred contempt and disrespect for the suppressed, womanizing, and often under employed black man. Clearly these patterns are the foundations of why African American families tend to disintegrate. I learned a great deal from a narrative passed down 7 generations from my ancestor Jacob Bland. Jacob was born on a Virginia plantation in 1758, his "father/owner", as Jacob put it, was Jacob AAron Bland . In his fascinating story Jacob tells of how he "Reckoned he was bred to a black slave girl more than once before she conceived". Jacob, who was a house slave, while doing his chores learned a great deal about the Bland plantation business, and how the black slave women were meaded out as collateral when buyers complained that they been cheated". As we can see in the past the male slave was used as a breeding animal and was sent from one slave woman to the next, fathering countless children for whom he had no responsibility, because the master did it for him. In the slave woman's case she became totally independent of the man because he could do nothing to protect her (from being passed around as collateral) or himself for that matter, and most likely had to learn to negotiate with the master to protect the black man and her children. Certainly I'd be wrong to say these things are true of all African Americans, they are not, but they are prevalent in varying degrees. It's clear that many of these behaviors are a result of a lack of self-love and personal integrity. As a result of reading the Willie Lynch letter it's obvious to me that the peculiarities I mention above are a direct result of the mind control process this letter implemented. The behaviors were merely adaptive survival skills, that kept our ancestors alive during the Antebellum South. Sadly today these inherited behaviors are still present but the conditions that bore them have changed. Therefore they are no longer survival mechanisms, but have now been reduced to self inflicted oppression. The enemy within each of us that stands to lead us to our own destruction.

During a series of synchronistic events the idea that this "Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome" could actually be healed and eradicated began to take shape in my mind. I attended a Possibilities DNA certification program conducted by Margaret and Steve Ruby which covered the topic of healing genetically inherited interference patterns housed with in the DNA. I then heard Dr. Joy DeGruy Leary speak about "PTSS" on KPFK a local radio station. Dr. Leary went into great detail about the same issues about our people that have perplexed me for decades. Next, one evening my son brought home the "Willie Lynch Letter" from his high school history class. As my son read the document to me and my husband, I became overwhelmed with emotions that ran the gamut of anger, relief, compassion, and an overwhelming sense of urgency. A light bulb came on for me, I finally understood the impetus behind those self-defeating behaviors. These behaviors were created by an insidious plan set in motion over 288 years ago still active in our DNA. today, triggered time and time again by the oppressive society in which we live. I was angry yes, then relieved because I knew that we as a group weren't to blame for our subconscious behaviors, that we had been victimized on an even deeper level than I had ever considered before. Then came the compassion for the descendants of slavers who must feel a twinge of guilt, and shame laced with fear of retribution when ever they are reminded of the past injustices. Then compassion for my people stifled by the mind control program inflicted on us, as far back as 6-8 generations. People wanting to do better, and be better but unable to do so. I felt a sense of urgency to share this information with everyone who'd listen. I felt comfort in knowing the universal truth, that the solution can always be found within the problem. After putting together these synchronistic events I realized that I am the solution. I knew The Soul Therapy process would work to undo the effects implemented so long ago. Now let's go back to the problem, and find the solution within it. Keep reading.

As with all slavery systems as far back as ancient Greco-Roman times there were certain processes administered in order to maintain control over the enslaved. The African American slave institution had such a formula mapped out in the year 1712 "How to Make a Slave" or "Let's Make A Slave" a virtual "Dummies Guide to Breaking Human Beings into Submission". Now visualize the author Willie Lynch a red faced British Gentleman dripping in sweat, and fanning flies as he stands on the river banks in the sweltering heat speaking to a large group of Virginia plantation owners. Read on, with an mind and heart.

The Willie Lynch Letter

Gentle, I greet you here on the bank of the James River in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and twelve. First I shall thank you, the Gentlemen of the Colony of Virginia, for bringing me here. I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me on my modest plantation in the West Indies where I have experimented with some of the newest and still the oldest methods for control of slaves. Ancient Rome would envy us if my program is implemented. As our boat sailed south on the James River, named for our illustrious King James, whose bible we cherish, I saw enough to know that your program is not unique. While Rome used cords of wood as crosses for standing human bodies along the old highways in great numbers, you are here using the tree and the rope on occasion.

I caught the whiff of a dead slave hanging from a tree a couple of miles back. You are not only losing valuable stock by hangings, you are having uprisings, slaves are running away, your crops are sometimes left in the fields too long for maximum profit, you suffer occasional fires, your animals are killed, gentlemen...you know what your problems are; I do not need to elaborate. I am not here to enumerate your problems, I am here to introduce you to a method of solving them.

In my bag here, I have a fool-proof method for controlling your black slaves. I guarantee everyone of you that if installed correctly it will control the slaves for at least 300 years. My method is simple, any member of your family or any overseer can use it.

I have outlined a number of differences among the slaves, and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use fear, distrust, and envy for control purposes. These methods have worked on my modest plantation in the West Indies, and it will work throughout the South. Take this simple little test of differences and think about them. On the top of my list is "Age", but it is there because it only starts with an "A"; the second is "Color" or shade; there is intelligence, size, sex, size of plantations, attitude of owners, whether the slaves live in the valley, on a hill, East, West, North, South, have fine or coarse hair, or is tall or short. Now that you have a list of differences, I shall give you an outline of action--but before that, I shall assure you that distrust is stronger than trust, and envy is stronger than adulation, respect, or admiration.

The Black Slave, after receiving this indoctrination, shall carry on and will become self refueling and self generating for hundreds of years, maybe thousands.

Don't forget, you must pitch the old Black vs. the young Black male, and the young Black male against the old Black male. You must use the dark skinned slaves vs the light skinned slaves, and the light skinned slaves vs. the dark skinned slaves. You must use the female vs. the male, and the male vs. the female. You must also have your servants and overseers distrust all Blacks, but it is necessary that your slaves trust and depend on us. They must love, respect, and trust only us.

Gentlemen, these kits are your keys to control, use them. Have your wives and children use them. Never miss opportunity. My plan is guaranteed, and the good thing about this plan is that if used intensely for one year, the slaves themselves will remain perpetually distrustful.

In the above article I have given a small portion of the holographic plan, yet gives enough detail to reveal the intention of the whole which was to weaken, divide and conquer. The details about the "kits" and more can be found at the talking drum, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the article "The Making of a Slave"  http://www.thetalkingdrum.com./ The beauty of this grotesque letter is that the antidote is encoded with in it's verbiage. Using Soul Therapy techniques to eliminate the interference patterns set in place, and replacing them with their opposites is the answer with in the problem. First we'd create space by Eliminating Interference Patterns designed by Willie Lynch. Then we must "Know Thy Self" and fill the void with a connection and appreciation for our cultural back ground both African and American, (both the old and new cultures are rich) these steps will allow love of self and acceptance of the group as a whole to be down loaded into the subconscious. This will with out a doubt unravel the ties that bind us from ourselves and each other. This is not just for African Americans but for the entire human race, afflicted with genetically imposed limitations and doubt, fear, addictions, physical afflictions etc. Keeping in mind that people oppress others when they themselves are in fear, It's also true that we oppress ourselves by buying into these illusionary limitations. The truth is...we are only limited by our perceptions of lack. Let us imagine a world where all people are equal and free, Soul Therapy will help one person at a time to come back to their origin, to come back to the to the beginning LOVE.

Heal our Beliefs, Heal our Lives

Dr. Bruce Lipton a ground breaking author and  former medical school professor (University of Wisconsin) and research scientist (Stanford University School of Medicine), has made some astounding discoveries. His experiments, involving the molecular mechanisms by which cells process information, have revealed that genes do not control our behavior, infact, genes are turned on and off by influences outside the cell.

These influences include our perceptions and beliefs which are generally influenced by our environment. He has proven that our beliefs, real or imagined, positive or negative, affect DNA activity and actually alter our genetic code, right down to our intellectual aptitudes and physiological well being.

Why add a scientific video to my Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome page? Simply because this information had a profound effect on me; It gave me an even deeper understanding of how the residual effects of the institutions of slavery and colonization have created mental and physical challenges experienced by oppressed peoples the world over. It also reinforced my hope in helping heal these wounds through my SoulTherapy practice. Watch this video, and contemplate the implications of Dr. Lipton's research... join me in gratitude for this time of ever enlightenment on the planet... of which we are privileged to participate in. Here are parts 5-7, go to Youtube or Video Google for the entire series.

They Came Before Columbus

Dr. Ivan Van Sertima literary critic, linguist, anthropologist, and writer.  In 1977 he wrote They Came Before Columbus: The African Presence in Ancient America,  for which he won the Clarence L. Holte Prize for excellence in literature and the humanities relating to the cultural heritage of Africa. He is the editor of the Journal of African Civilizations, and has edited numerous recent books including African Presence in Early America, Great African Thinkers, and Great Black Leaders: Ancient and Modern.

Dr. Sertima has had a profound influence on the world. He has shed light on true history, which has been a  healing balm to the injured hearts of an oppressed people. Through his writings he has shifted perceptions to the point of rousing people out of an externally imposed amnesia. All races have contributed to the world in greatness, awareness, and genuine pride of your innate power is healing in and of it's self. Watch and feel real good.
